Kim Carter, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, lost her hard fought battle with cancer Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021 at the age of 60. She will be remembered for her compassion for others and her selfless work with children while volunteering with CASA to comfort them in their time of need and her work with Austisic children to help them learn and grow into the people they were meant to be. She is survived by her mother, Sheila Carter; her sisters, Nancy Batdorff (David) and Lyn Knop; her nieces and nephews, Ashley (Josh), Shayla (Dustin), Olivia, Natalie, Patrick, Arylana, Quorbyn, Copper and Peyton; her children, Macie Helmus (Jason), Myles Eldred (Deanna), Anna Horn (Cody) and George Eldred (Laurie).; and her grandchildren, Isabella, Brayden, Ayden, Tristan, Zoe, Emma, Arya, and Mason. She was preceded in death by her father, Steven Carter. A memorial service will be held at Kilpatrick United Brethren Church in Woodland on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1 p.m. with a luncheon to follow. The family requests any contributions that you would want to make be simply shared with those around you and to do small things every day to help others as she has done for so many people.
