Linda Sue Chantrenne, age 75, of Battle Creek, passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021. She was born January 16, 1945 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Paul and Lucille (Harris) Linstead. She married Donald Chantrenne on December 18, 1965 in Battle Creek. Don preceded her in death in 2016. Linda was a collector of antiques and “older” things. Some of her bigger collections include stamps and cereal premiums. Linda had a zest for life and was always on the go. She always had a smile on her face and she was the type of person you could always count on. Linda enjoyed going to the casino, attending the Fine Lake ladies lunch gatherings, and of course volunteering in numerous capacities. She was a member of the American Legion Post #484 Women’s Auxiliary and the USS Saratoga Association. Linda and Don attended the USS Saratoga reunion every year and she continued to do so even after Don’s passing. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and spending time with them. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Chantrenne and Kelly (Andy) Cutsinger; grandchildren, Zack, AJ, Mackenzie, and Kylie; sister, Carol Bennett; sister-in-law, Barb Martin; and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Paul “Dean” Linstead; and brother-in-law,Pat Bennett. Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 11, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service.
