Larry Joe Harvath


Larry Joe Harvath, age 69, of Delton, passed away on December 22, 2020 at Ascension Borgess Hospital. Larry was born on September 12, 1951, in Battle Creek, the son of Daniel and Dora (Babcock) Harvath. On May 7, 1983 Larry married the love of his life, the former Sandra Campbell at Inter-Lakes Baptist Church. He was very active with his church, serving as a deacon for many years. Larry was also active with the Delton-Kellogg Band Boosters. He enjoyed going to parades and taking walks. Larry will be remembered for his wit and sense of humor. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. Larry is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Jason Harvath, Jamie (James) Knies, Lacie Harvath, and Jacob Harvath; grandchildren, Caleb Knies and Harper Knies; siblings, Dora (James) Boulter, Judy Harvath; Tim (Lucy) Harvath, Bertha (Wayne) Boonstra, and Isabelle (Mohammed) Alhumedy, Royal Boulter; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Glorianna Boulter, Daniel and Viva Harvath, and Gerald “Mike” Harvath. Larry’s family received friends on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at Cedar Creek Bible Church where his funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020. Burial took place in East Hickory Corners Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Inter-Lakes Baptist Church will be appreciated.
