Ruth Ann Dudgeon, of Kalamazoo, died peacefully Nov. 29, 2020, at Boschway AFC in Battle Creek. Born Oct. 31, 1939, in Hastings, to George H. and Nina J. (Conklin) Stanford, she was the oldest of three siblings. Ruth Ann graduated with honours from Hastings High School in 1957 and was a 1961 alumnus of Adrian College. In 1966, she married Lester A. Dudgeon, who passed in 1989. Ruth Ann was employed for 36 years with the Social Security Administration, retiring in 1994. She was an inveterate reader and lover of books, and enjoyed bowling and travelling with her late husband. A Halloween baby, she delighted in celebrating her birthday each year. She is survived by her niece, Vicki (Brian Rowden) VanAmeyden; nephews Dave (Kris Clarke) and Paul (Laura) VanAmeyden; and many cousins. Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother Glenn G. Stanford in 1959; and sister Joanne VanAmeyden in 2017. A funeral is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at 11 a.m., at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, with a brief family visitation prior to the service. Entombment will take place at Mt.
