Robert Carmoney


Robert “Bob” Carmoney, age 79, of Nashville passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus, in Grand Rapids. Bob was born in Everett, on February 11, 1941, the son of the late LaVerne and Nyla (Berri) Carmoney. He was raised in the Nashville area and attended local schools graduating from W.K. Kellogg High School in 1959. Bob continued his education in college, studying computer programing. He was the widower of Patrine (Larson) Carmoney. The couple was married March 18,1960 in Nashville, and spent their lives together in the Nashville and Vermontville area where they raised their family together. Bob and Pat loved their Nashville Baptist Church family where they worshiped together. Bob loved computers, and spent his entire career as a computer programmer for Pennock Hospital and Hastings Manufacturing retiring in 2001. During the summer months, Bob enjoyed golfing with his church family, spending an afternoon fishing and visiting the local casino’s with his beloved wife Pat and best friend Denny. Bob’s family was always his first priority, and he rarely missed an opportunity to spend time with or watch his grandchildren play sports. Robert is survived by his three daughters, Laurie (Douglas) Cook, Bethany Howard, Jackie (Damien Cheesebro) Carmoney; eight grandchildren, Jess (Michael) Julian, Sarah Cook, Stacie (Devin Musser) Cook, Joshua Cook, Lance (Katelynn) Howard, Meghan (Dale) Platte, Courtney (Mark Salski) Howard, Rachel (Brent) Snowden; 20 great grandchildren; his siblings, Jane, Joice, Susan, Raymond, Tom, Dennis, Ted, John, Susann, Rick, David, Tim, Connie, and Mike. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pat; his siblings, Barbara Dell, Nancy, Ron, and Penny. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday Oct. 28, 2020 the Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville. Interment will take place privately at Hosmer Cemetery in Castleton Township.
