Juanita Richmond
Juanita Richmond, age 72, of Lake Odessa, passed away on Monday, Oct. 12, 2020.
Juanita was born October 21, 1947 in Dallas, TX to Josefa (Navajar) Galaviz and Felix Galaviz. On June 27, 1970 she married Ron Richmond and they spent 50 years together.
She loved her family dearly and was well known for her sense of humor, big heart and her authentic Mexican food. Juanita was often seen watching her grandchildren play sports and was part of the cow bell nation. Trips to the casino and playing bingo with her pals also brought a smile to her face.
Juanita worked and managed various places in Lake Odessa including Tj’s, McDonald’s and Dairy Queen.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Ron Richmond; son, David (Christa) Richmond, son, Aaron (Stephanie) Richmond; grandchildren, Luke Richmond, Katelyn (Keegan) Marks, Owen Richmond, Tyler Jansma, Gage Richmond, Alyson Roush, Gunnar Richmond and Brady Roush; mother-in-law, Helen Richmond; in-laws, Dick (Elly) Richmond, John (Karlene) Richmond, Don Richmond and Marge Wisniewski, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Josefa Galaviz; sisters, Josephine Salazar and Angelita Lopez; brothers, Eligio Galaviz, Felix Galaviz and Wally Galaviz; niece, Terena Galaviz; nephews, Mark and Carlos Galaviz and Danny Olivo.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 16, 2020 at the Kilpatrick UB Church, 10005 E. Barnum Rd., Woodland MI, 48897.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to her family to help with expenses.
