Terry A. Walden
Terry Allen Walden, age 62, of Hastings, made his final transition home on Oct. 2, 2020 after a two year battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Terry was born in Tecumseh on Feb. 17, 1958, to Alex and Beverly Walden. He lived most of his life in Nashville with his significant other, Geraldine Kornoelje. Together they worked at Sherman’s Manufacturing in Battle Creek.
Terry was a hard worker and a country boy to his core, working his day job and then coming home to milk cows and take care of his farm. He worked his later years at Barryville Farms, retiring in 2017.
Terry loved to have fun. He loved farming, snowmobiling, garage sales, collecting toy cars, and watching Chuck Norris reruns on TV. His smile, his fearlessness, his sense of humor and his child-like wonder will be deeply missed.
Terry is survived by his life partner of 43 years, Geraldine Kornoelje; his mother, Beverly Walden; brothers, Mark (Heidi) Walden, Danny (Lynda) Walden, Randy (Barb) Walden and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by special friends, Darren (Monelle) Cobb and his “adopted” granddaughter Brinna Cobb.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alex Walden.
Final arrangements were entrusted to Simply Cremation. No service will be held per Terry’s request.
